Part I:
Set up your own open-source LoRaWAN network server ( in less than 10 minutes or use Docker and do it in 5 minutes.

Part II:
Overview of popular LoRaWAN platforms (Actility, loriot, TTN), PoC test integrations of these platforms using Node-Red.

Part III:
Intro to interoperability tests – CLDQP (the CLDQP is the Collective LoRaWAN Device Qualification Program between European operators – Digita, KPN, Levikom, Netzikon, Objenious, Proximus, Sens, Swisscom). 

What will you take away from this workshop?

Easy and fast deployment of private LoRaWAN network server and integration of data from the LoRaWAN network server into your own application is actually possible. You will see how you can do it in 10 or even less.
We will explain when the deployment of your own instance of LoRaWAN network server is a good idea and why it makes more sense use the TTN.
We will also check how to best prepare yourself when you plan to deploy LoRa end-nodes and use commercial LoRa network providers – how CLDQP and LoRa certified end nodes can make your life easier.

How do you need to prepare yourself? Are there any special skills required to participate?

No preparation needed. Attendees will not do hands-on tests and deployments.

He is doing preliminary research and tests with new communication technologies, overseeing technical aspects of PoC and full deployments. He has 10+ years of experience in web and firmware development with a few years of IT project management and product management.

Pessl Instruments GmbH is making custom weather stations for agri sector and the devices use GSM, NBIoT, LoRa, WiFi and other connectivity options for delivering the automatic measured sensors data to proprietary cloud platform FieldClimate. LoRa communication enables the clients to have many sensors spread over different locations and drives the communication costs down.
